Common inheritance

Hello. I'm Mike, a lawyer living in Hong Kong.

I have been neglecting this topic for a long time.
No, it's not that I was slacking off, it's just that I wanted to read this book and that book in order to write about it as I was finally getting to the heart of the matter. I opened my iPad to read my kindle and watched youtube while I was reading.

There used to be a paradox that you could never buy the latest PC (or iPhone nowadays?). The paradox was that PCs evolve day by day and new models are released one after another, so when you buy a PC, it starts to become obsolete, so you have to give up the latest features to buy a PC.

So, I'm going to write my blog at the same time, while looking at the books which are accumulated in my kindle library.

Now the main question.

The fishermen's village depicted in the second edition of this title.

AS LONG AS YOU LIVE IN THE VILLAGE, YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT FOOD. RICE, VEGETABLES, FRUIT, SEAFOOD AND MEAT ARE ALL HARVESTED IN ABUNDANCE IN THE VILLAGE AND DISTRIBUTED TO ALL THE VILLAGERS. THE HARVESTING AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM WILL BE MANAGED BY AI. YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHERE TO LIVE. THE HOUSES ARE SHARED BY THE VILLAGERS, AND EACH VILLAGER LIVES IN ONE OF THEM. THE SAME GOES FOR ELECTRICITY, HEALTHCARE AND EDUCATION.

The goods and services that are shared by the whole village are shared by the villagers, from the cultivation and management of the village fields, to fishing, to the maintenance of the houses and paths, to medical care and education. It is a mutual-help activity for the villagers to share and maintain these assets, not the provision of labour for pay or reward.

No longer needing to work for food or shelter, or worry about education or health, the villagers have more time and space in their lives. In time, a culture of pure enjoyment of music, art and learning develops. Adults, in their own way, and children, in their own way, satisfy their thirst for knowledge and curiosity with pure enjoyment. Whoever asks, "How can mathematics be useful in life?" No one will ask "How does mathematics help me in life?

Eventually, artists and intellectuals from all over the world are attracted to stay in the village and interact with other intellectuals and villagers, attracted by its life. Fledgling artists move to the village to work on their creations. The artists and intellectuals take part in the communal work of the village as villagers, but also hold mini-concerts and exhibitions during their stay. This gradually develops into a regular series of performances and festivals. Ladies and gentlemen from the village and all over the world come to see these performances.

But no matter how famous it becomes, it is still an idyllic village surrounded by beautiful nature and good food. The villagers who live here, the young people who have moved here, the artists and the rich people who stay here regularly, stay to enjoy the village life and the people who live there. There will never be a big shopping mall or resort hotel.

A truly affluent life may be one of success in business, as in the case of the consultant, and great wealth and luxury, or it may be the life of a fisherman in a village like this.

One thing is for sure, life in this village is not based on the acquisition of great wealth. In the first place, they are based on very different principles of wealth. Life in the village is about sharing and enjoying the wealth of the world, whereas life in the village is about competition and collecting the wealth of the world for oneself.

See, it's starting to look like a story of shareholder capitalism versus stakeholder capitalism, public interest capitalism, social common capital and syncretism.

Next time.
